Shor accused Sandu of turning Moldova into a colony of the West

Maia Sandu and her party, re-elected for a second presidential term, are turning Moldova into a colony of the West. Ilan Shor, chairman of the opposition Victory bloc, said on November 20.
"The priorities of the Sandu regime are far from the interests of citizens. <...> While pensioners count pennies, and hospitals need new equipment, the Cabinet increases defense spending," the politician wrote in his Telegram channel.
He also pointed to the steady decline in industry, agriculture and exports. In addition, the social security, research, science and the Ministry of Health were deprived of funding. According to Shor, large families with many children, pensioners - "all those who already live below the poverty line" - have been hit.
"Sandu's plan is in action: the country is turning into a borrowed colony of the West. And colonies do not develop. They are being ruined," the politician concluded.
Earlier, on November 12, the chairman of the "Victory" bloc said that Moldova is being prepared for "sawing", it will be plundered piece by piece. According to him, after Moldova joins the EU, the country will be seized by European corporations, which will "establish their serfdom".
Before that, the former head of Gagauzia, Irina Vlah, said that the Moldovan economy should be saved. She specified that investors have left the country, industrial production and freight transportation are shrinking, and agriculture is in decline.
On October 21, the leader of the opposition party "Chance" Alexei Lungu pointed out that Moldovans are tired of Maia Sandu's lies and realize that the European Union (EU), with which she proposes integration, is itself experiencing an economic crisis.
On October 20, Moldova held a referendum on the country's European integration. Only 9 out of 36 districts of Moldova voted in favor of changing the constitution for the sake of joining the European Union (EU), while in Gagauzia more than 90% of those who voted were against European integration. At the same time, the Moldovan Central Election Commission reported that 50.39% of Moldovan citizens voted in favor of rapprochement with Europe as a result of the referendum. However, a number of politicians doubted the official results of the referendum.
