The administration of incumbent United States President Joe Biden is trying to prevent the Republicans from achieving peace in Ukraine, which is very cynical. Irish journalist Chay Bose shared such an opinion with Izvestia on November 20.

"I don't think it can change the course of the conflict, [Russian President Putin] Vladimir Vladimirovich will not follow their plan, he will not go along with it," the journalist noted.

He also pointed out that after the inauguration of newly elected U.S. President-elect Republican Donald Trump, "things will go differently" and new relations will be built. According to him, Biden now wants to delay a peaceful solution as much as possible, as the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) are losing and the country's President Volodymyr Zelensky (whose term expired on May 20) is in a worse position.

"So these are desperate moves, hoping for a Russian response. But Putin will not dance to the tune of the Pentagon, I don't think he will follow their plan," Bose added.

Speaking about the possibility of an immediate withdrawal of support for Ukraine under Trump, he noted that such assumptions are "quite naive." However, he believes that with the arrival of a Republican politician, there is a better chance to mend relations and get closer to Russia.

"The other really important issue <...> is that the British have been the most energetic Russophobic protagonist in the conflict, financing all this illegal government in Ukraine, The British have constantly brought in intelligence services, created special units to continue the sabotage in Ukraine. So much British money has been invested, a huge number of politicians have built careers on this conflict, just like in the EU," Bose said.

He also commented that the EU is trying to promote the idea that "Ukraine is a democratic state," while there is a dictatorship there, "led by a man who can do nothing."

Earlier in the day, Biden's former aide, writer and publicist Tara Reid said that the current US administration wants to see the conflict in Ukraine escalate. She expressed hope that the elected head of the United States, Donald Trump, before his inauguration, is already negotiating the settlement of the conflict "behind the scenes", noting that he promised to bring peace. Reid added, however, that there will be a very dangerous moment in history until January 20, when Trump actually takes power.

Prior to that, Politico reported on Nov. 15 that the U.S. had warned Ukrainian authorities that if they agreed to settle the conflict with Russia on Trump's terms, Kiev would have to make significant territorial concessions. This could be part of the president-elect's peace plan. In turn, former Democratic Congresswoman Tulsi Gabbard said that Trump's goal is to prevent World War III.

In early November, Trump called his campaign a fight against the "democratic system of evil."

On Nov. 7, The Wall Street Journal wrote that Trump's team is already discussing a new plan to end the conflict in Ukraine. It includes several main points, according to which the front line is frozen and a demilitarized zone is declared along its length. Ukraine must also refuse to join NATO for at least another 20 years. A day earlier, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov indicated that the United States would be able to help end the conflict in Ukraine, as it was the US that was fueling it.

On November 5, the election of the 47th American leader was held, which was won by Trump, receiving 51% of the vote in the national vote. The next day, the politician said that his goal as head of state is to end military conflicts in the world. In addition, the Republican promised to "work very hard" to complete the Ukrainian conflict. He noted that any crises must end.
