On November 27, the National Center "Russia" in Moscow will host an in-person meeting of the honorary jury of the educational award "Znanie.Premia" - the flagship project of the Russian society "Znanie". Prominent state and public figures will hear the speeches of 77 nominees from 24 regions of Russia and will choose the educators of the year in 19 nominations.
Later, the members of the honorable jury will remotely evaluate video vignettes of the short-list participants of the special nomination "Foreign Educator of the Year". It includes educators from Argentina, USA and Slovakia.
"The nominees of "Knowledge.Prize" are approaching one of the most important tests on the way to the award. Dozens of educators from different parts of Russia will gather in the capital to tell about their activities to the honorable jury, which traditionally includes outstanding people from a variety of fields. I am sure that the master classes organized by us from distinguished experts in the field of public speaking will help the applicants to overcome their excitement and make a worthy statement about themselves," said Maxim Dreval, General Director of the Russian Society of Knowledge.
The shortlist includes 62 educators, 43 projects and 6 companies. They were selected by the expert council of "Znanie.Premia", which included 163 well-known managers from different spheres. Among them are Alexander Kozlovsky, First Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Industry and Trade, Victor Neumyvakin, Director of the Department of State Policy in the sphere of secondary vocational education and vocational training of the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation, Alexander Kudryashov, Director of the Russian Children and Youth Center, Irina Kraeva, Rector of the Moscow State Linguistic University, Ramil Gabbasov, Executive Director of the Russian Union of Martial Arts, General Director of the Russian Union of Martial Arts, and others.
A total of 19,523 applications were submitted this year from 89 regions of Russia and 56 foreign countries. The most popular nominations were "For educational activities in schools" (2440 applications), "For contribution to education in the field of "Promotion of the Russian language and languages of the peoples of the Russian Federation" (1989 applications) and "Counselor-Educator" (1858 applications).
The names of the laureates of the fourth season of "Knowledge.Prize" will be announced at the award ceremony to be held in February 2025.
