Khusnullin announced the arrival of the M-12 highway to Ekaterinburg in 2025

The M-12 highway "Vostok" will be extended to Yekaterinburg in 2025. This was announced by Russian Deputy Prime Minister Marat Khusnullin at the plenary session of the forum "Transport of Russia" on November 20.
"We plan to come to Yekaterinburg next year, then a year later - to Tyumen," - said the Deputy Prime Minister.
Earlier, on October 16, Khusnullin opened via video link a section of the Perm-Yekaterinburg highway, which was overhauled and will be included in the M-12 highway. Deputy Prime Minister emphasized that Russia is facing unprecedented sanctions pressure, but its road complex continues to develop rapidly and solve the tasks set by Russian President Vladimir Putin.
Traffic on the M-12 highway with a length of 810 kilometers was opened by the head of state in December 2023. It passed through five regions: the Moscow, Vladimir, Nizhny Novgorod regions, as well as the Republics of Chuvashia and Tatarstan. The highway was built from scratch in three years, which is a record time. Later, in July 2024, Khusnullin confirmed that the road is planned to be extended from Yekaterinburg to Tyumen.
