The Russian authorities expect to start deliveries of the Russian passenger airplane MS-21 to airlines in 2025. This was announced by Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin at the plenary session of the Transport of Russia forum on November 20.

"At present, preparations for the launch of serial production are being finalized. Formation of cooperation chains within the country, selection of hundreds and thousands of reliable contractors is underway. In the coming year, we expect to finalize certification of the flagship MS-21 project and start its deliveries to airlines," he said.

Mishustin also called for mass production of all types of airplanes as soon as possible, including the fully updated Superjet, Tu-214, Il-96, Il-114 and the Baikal aircraft. According to him, similar plans apply to helicopters.

"All the necessary financial means for this have been identified, and measures of state support for aircraft construction are laid down in a separate federal project <...>", - concluded the Prime Minister.

Earlier, on November 13, it was reported that the pace of development of small aviation vessels will be accelerated. The Russian government will prepare a set of solutions to accelerate the preparation. Measures should ensure the competitiveness of small aviation vessels at the expense of their cost and flight and technical characteristics. The government should also provide for the implementation of state support programs, including preferential leasing for Russian airlines.
