The State Duma passed in the first reading a draft law on registration of road accidents on "Gosuslugi" (State Services)

The State Duma has passed in the first reading a bill that introduces the possibility to register a traffic accident on the portal "Gosuservices" in the presence of a MTPL policy. This is reported on the website of the lower house of parliament on November 20.

The bill was initiated by the Government of the Russian Federation, it was introduced in the State Duma on October 19. With the adoption of the document, drivers of vehicles involved in an accident can issue a notice of the accident without calling a police officer and filling out paper forms.

The initiative to expand the possibility of drawing up a notice of the accident without calling the traffic police and filling out paper forms was later supported by the Russian Union of Motor Insurers (RAMI). As noted in the RAMI, the adoption of the bill will make it possible to draw up a notice of road accident through the official website of the insurer on the Internet or through a mobile application or using the information systems of the professional association of insurers in the form established by the Bank of Russia.

November 18, it was reported that the State Duma proposed to introduce on the portal "State Services" function of sending messages to the owners of cars that interfere with the passage of other cars. It is assumed that it will be possible to send messages to the car owner by the license plate number of his car or to make secure calls using the portal. Messages or calls will be anonymized to protect the personal data of both parties.
