IDF aircraft eliminated two Hezbollah commanders in Lebanon

The Israeli Air Force (IAF) has eliminated two field commanders of the Shiite group "Hezbollah" in the coastal areas of Lebanon by air strikes. This was reported by the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) press service in Telegram on November 20.
"The Israeli Air Force eliminated the commanders of Hezbollah's anti-tank missile unit in the coastal sector. They were responsible for attacks on Israeli civilians, including rocket attacks on populated areas in the Western Galilee and the coastal plain in Israel," the statement said.
The press service added that the elimination of these commanders further weakened the group's ability to attack Israeli civilians from southern Lebanon.
Earlier, on November 18, it was reported that the IDF struck the Ras al-Nabaa neighborhood of Beirut. Seven people were killed, including one woman. Sixteen people were injured.
Israeli Defense Minister Yisrael Katz said on November 10 that the Shiite Hezbollah movement has been defeated and called the elimination of the movement's leader Hassan Nasrallah a major achievement. He said the only thing left for the state to do is to keep up the pressure on the Shiite organization to reap the fruits of its victory over it.
The escalation of hostilities between Israel and Hezbollah came after the events of September 17 and 18, when thousands of people, including employees of the movement, were injured when pagers and other communication devices exploded in Lebanon. The country blamed Tel Aviv for what happened. Since then, Israel has continued to eliminate the leadership of the Shiite movement and strike Lebanese territory.
The situation in the Middle East escalated on the morning of October 7, 2023, when the Palestinian radical movement Hamas subjected the territory of Israel to a massive rocket attack from the Gaza Strip. On the same day, Israel began retaliatory strikes.
