Actress Svetlana Svetlichnaya was buried at Troekurovskoye cemetery


Honored Artist of the RSFSR Svetlana Svetlichnaya was buried on November 20 at Troekurovskoye cemetery in Moscow after a farewell ceremony at the House of Cinema.
The actress is buried in the "actors' alley" next to Sergei Yursky and Georgy Martynyuk.
To say goodbye to her came family and friends, as well as colleagues and fans, in particular - artists Alexander Pankratov-Cherniy, Valery Barinov and Boris Tokarev.
Earlier in the day, Russian President Vladimir Putin expressed his condolences on Svetlichnaya's death. His telegram at the farewell ceremony was read by the director of the Guild of Cinema Actors Valeria Gushchina. The head of state noted Svetlichnaya's talent and her contribution to the national cinematography. Condolences were also expressed by Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin, Culture Minister Olga Lyubimova and Mayor of the capital Sergey Sobyanin.
Svetlichnaya died on November 16 at the age of 84 after a long illness. Film historian, critic and editor Vyacheslav Shmyrov told Izvestia that the actress's health had been poor recently.
People's Artist of Russia, director Andrei Zhitinkin pointed out that Svetlichnaya remained a legend of cinematography, but in her lifetime was a very modest person. In turn, actress Olga Spirkina noted that even in old age, the actress has not lost her charm, and People's Artist of Russia Valery Barinov called her main quality of mystery.
Svetlichnaya was born May 15, 1940 in Armenia. After graduating from the Institute in 1963, she became an actress of the Theater-Studio of Film Actors. Her bright role was the seductress Anna Sergeyevna in Leonid Gaidai's film "Diamond Hand". Also the woman starred in the movie "Seventeen Moments of Spring" and "The Place of Meeting Change You Can Not". In 1974, she was awarded the title of Honored Artist of the RSFSR.
