Russian Armed Forces hit Ukrainian BMP Bradley with a Lancet in the Kursk border area

Servicemen of the North group of forces have destroyed a Bradley infantry fighting vehicle of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) with a Lancet barrage munition in the border area of Kursk Region. The objective control footage was published by the Russian Defense Ministry on November 20.

"The means of aerial reconnaissance of one of the units of the "North" group of troops in the border area of the Kursk region detected a Bradley infantry fighting vehicle of the AFU in the area of a forest belt. After analyzing the intelligence received, a decision was made to fire on the enemy's BMP," the defense ministry said in a statement.

It noted that the target was successfully hit by a direct hit of "Lancet".

Earlier in the day, the Defense Ministry said that the Armed Forces (AF) of the Russian Federation completed the destruction of the grouping of Ukrainian military blocked near Olgovskaya Grove in the Kursk region.

During the day, the enemy lost more than 400 servicemen, 6 BMPs, 4 armored personnel carriers, a Bogdana self-propelled artillery unit (SAU), a UK-made AS-90 SAU, an electronic warfare station and 20 vehicles. In addition, 11 Ukrainian military personnel surrendered as prisoners of war.

In total, the Ukrainian army lost more than 34,390 servicemen during the fighting in the Kursk direction.

Ukrainian militants attacked Russian positions in the border areas of the Kursk region on August 6. The situation in the region was recognized as a state of emergency of federal character. An operation to destroy the AFU is underway.

The special operation to protect Donbass, the beginning of which Russian President Vladimir Putin announced on February 24, 2022, continues. The decision was taken against the background of the aggravated situation in the region.
