On November 29, the Russian Gallery of Art together with the Kolomenskoye Museum-Reserve will open a large-scale exhibition "Our! Way to Benefit", dedicated to the 10th anniversary of the reunification of Crimea and Sevastopol with Russia. The project is realized with the support of the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation and the Department of Culture of Moscow.

The exposition in the Atrium exhibition hall contains paintings by famous authors who were inspired by Crimea: Arkhip Kuindzhi, Ivan Aivazovsky, Lev Lagorio, Maximilian Voloshin, Isaac Levitan, Apollinarius Vasnetsov, Valentin Serov, Vasily Polenov, Ilya Repin, Alexander Deineka and many others. The large-scale exhibition project united more than 400 unique exhibits from the collections of 66 Russian museums, archives and libraries. The exhibition presents the image of Crimea as a unique historical and cultural phenomenon that significantly influenced the development of the Russian state.

The exhibition shows the history of the peninsula retrospectively - from the incorporation of Crimea into the Russian Empire in 1783 and the founding of Sevastopol to the present and dreams of the future. Sections of the exposition are devoted to different aspects of understanding the image of Crimea: scientific study of the peninsula, the development of its potential, the emergence of its gardens, palaces and health resorts, its heroic past, its special role in literature, cinematography and the endless attempts of great artists to capture the Crimean nature.

"The inimitable atmosphere, unique views and special entourage of the Crimean Peninsula have inspired artists and writers for several centuries. The results of this work are rightfully included in the treasury of world culture. The exhibition "Our! Way to Benefit" is the largest exhibition project in Moscow dedicated to Crimea. Visitors to Kolomenskoye will be able to get acquainted with works of art telling about the history of the peninsula and its reflection in art for two and a half centuries. This is an opportunity not only to truly "enter the history" of the peninsula, but also to make a trip without leaving Moscow", - said Marina Lyulchuk, Director of the Museum-Reserve "Kolomenskoye".

After Crimea's reunification with Russia in 2014, it again became the object of attention of almost the whole world, the process of comprehensive development was launched on the peninsula. A lot of attention is paid to culture: a unique temple and park complex "New Chersonese" was opened in Sevastopol, the construction of the future pearl of the Crimean peninsula - the architectural ensemble of the center of arts on Cape Khrustalny, combining the Opera and Ballet Theater and the museum complex of the new national art collection - the Russian Art Gallery - is being completed.
