The Sovfed approved the law on debt forgiveness for participants of SWOs

The Federation Council on November 20 at the plenary session approved the law on writing off debts on loans of up to 10 million to participants of the special military operation (SMO).

According to the bill, credit obligations are stopped for mobilized and military personnel who served in the Russian Army and concluded a contract on military service to perform the tasks of the Special Military Operation (SMO) not earlier than December 1 of the current year for a period of one year or more. In addition, obligations are also terminated for spouses of military personnel.

In this case, a necessary condition is the entry into legal force before December 1 of the current year of the act on the collection of debt on these obligations.

"Enforcement proceedings shall be terminated in the part not exceeding in the aggregate 10 million rubles from the date of conclusion of this specified contract", - explained a member of the Federation Council Committee on constitutional legislation and state building Nikolai Vladimirov.

On the eve of the bill on writing off overdue loans up to 10 million rubles for members of the NWO at the conclusion of a contract of military service in the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation from December 1 this year, the State Duma adopted in the second and third reading. It was specified that the executive obligations will be canceled in the case of death of the mobilized, his declaration by the court as dead or disabled.

Before that, on November 14, it became known that the payments for injuries on the NWO differentiated. Now the servicemen, who were severely injured, will receive Br3 million each. For a minor injury is entitled to Br1 million, while for other injuries the payment will amount to Br100 thousand.
