Russian Prosecutor General Igor Krasnov has arrived in Tashkent to discuss with his Uzbek counterpart Nigmatilla Yuldashev the main issues concerning cooperation between the agencies of the two countries. The Russian Prosecutor General's Office announced this on its website on November 20.

Yuldashev and Russian Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Uzbekistan Oleg Malginov met Krasnov at the airplane ramp.

"I am very happy to see you, and it is a pleasure to be here today," the Russian prosecutor general said to Yuldashev, who greeted him warmly.

Krasnov arrived in Uzbekistan at his colleague's invitation. In Tashkent, the two countries' prosecutors general will discuss major issues of cooperation and share views on developing new common solutions to improve mechanisms for protecting citizens' rights and fighting crime.

The day before, November 19, representatives of the Russian Prosecutor General's Office visited the Law Enforcement Academy of Uzbekistan and passed on to local prosecutors, professors and teachers their best practices in the field of supervision and anti-crime work.

Earlier, on November 15, Krasnov met with Azerbaijani Prosecutor General Kamran Aliyev at the UN Climate Summit (COP29) in Baku. The head of the Russian agency agreed with the initiative of his Azerbaijani colleagues to increase the intensity of work of law enforcers in the fight against climate change. Krasnov is confident that the potential of the prosecutor's office will be in demand in solving such tasks.
