- Putin stated the goal of implementing all national projects on technological leadership of the Russian Federation

All national projects on technological leadership in the Russian Federation are significant and big, and they will definitely be realized. This hope was expressed by Russian President Vladimir Putin at a meeting with First Deputy Prime Minister Denis Manturov on November 20.
The latter, in turn, told the head of state that the goal of increasing the growth of drone production in Russia by five times could be achieved before 2030.
"As for the drone project already underway since January this year. The main goal is to ensure a five-fold increase in production, to reach a level of independence of 70% by 2030, but the way we see today, the pace of mastering technology is going, I think that maybe it will even come even earlier," Manturov said.
Putin added that it is also important to solve the issue of organizing the mining of rare-earth metals. It should be carefully worked out, as it is a strategically important resource that now matters for the country.
"We have opportunities to work here, and to work independently. It is known what rare earth metals are, how they are needed and important. It is well known who and where they are mined, how this work is done, where monopolies are formed. But we have our own everything," the head of state pointed out.
He also specified that all national projects being implemented in the country are important.
"In general, of course, such projects are visible, big. And I hope we will manage to realize them all together, and then indeed the structure of Russia's economy will change at the pace we need," Putin added.
In July, Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin said that Russia will increase the production of unmanned vehicles more than five times by 2030. He said this at a strategic session on the national project "UAV systems". Mishustin also adds that to achieve this goal, the government will support both developers and buyers of such products.
In the same month, the head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade Anton Alikhanov said that Russia intends to increase the output of rare and rare-earth metals by eight times by 2030. Thanks to these projects, Russia also plans to reduce the share of imports in consumption to 15% by 2030.
Prior to that, on April 27, Putin said at an event in the Rudnevo industrial park that Rosaviatsia needs to digitalize air traffic in order to seamlessly integrate drones into the structure. According to him, unmanned aviation requires structural changes. He called for every effort to develop this sphere in Russia.
On January 11, Putin said that Russia needs to be ahead of the curve in developing UAVs. A month earlier, Mishustin said that UAV production in Russia had doubled in 2023.
