- A unique method of rehabilitation for children with disabilities has been developed in Yakutia

In Yakutia, a unique method of rehabilitation for children with disabilities was presented. It is based on the national art of weaving.
The author of the method is Diulustan Sleptsov, an employee of the Yansky electric networks of Sakhaenergo JSC, reports PrimaMedia IA with reference to RusHydro. The ancient folk art allows not only to develop motor skills, but also promotes mental development. The thing is that both hands are involved in weaving, which, according to experts, has a beneficial effect on fine motor skills and brain function.
According to the author of the method, our ancestors made jewelry from grass, using the technique of weaving without a single knot. This method formed the basis of a system suitable even for blind people.
Many cultural traditions of the Sakha peoples have been preserved by the inhabitants of the Ust-Yansky ulus, where technological progress came much later. This knowledge inspired Sleptsov to create the technique.
It is expected that weaving will be included in the curriculum of Yakutia's schools to help children develop their motor skills and maintain Sakha traditions.
Earlier, on November 19, the results of a study by the Civil Society Development Foundation (FSDGO), which determined the top 35 subjects by this indicator by the end of the third quarter of 2024, became known. Yakutia entered the top ten of the rating, ranking seventh. The most stable regions of Russia in terms of socio-economic development were YNAO, NAO and Chukotka, as well as Magadan Oblast.
