The wreckage of an unidentified flying object (UFO) shot down over Lake Huron in 2023 found police in Canada. This was reported on November 20 by the television network CTV News.

It is specified that the object was spotted in February last year. F-16 fighter jet fired two missiles at him, after which the debris fell into the water. At that time, the UFO fragments were never found as the search operation was ended due to deteriorating weather.

Following an inquiry by CTV News, Canada's Department of National Defense released documents showing that police continued the search. It recovered debris and brought it in for analysis. However, the results of that examination remained unknown.

Earlier, on February 10, 2023, the U.S. military spotted a balloon in the airspace over Alaska, after which it shot down the aircraft. The object was tracked for 24 hours and shot down on the U.S. -Canada border - over the northeastern part of Alaska.
