The head of AvtoVAZ has revealed the start of sales of Lada Aura

Business-class sedan Lada Aura is planned to go on sale in December 2024, the first shipments to dealers may begin in November-December. This was told by the head of the company Maxim Sokolov at the international forum "Transport of Russia".

"We will probably decide that sales will start separately in different regions. The first, of course, are Moscow and St. Petersburg. And further already all over the country. At the very beginning of December Aura will already be available in dealerships in Moscow and St. Petersburg," Sokolov was quoted by TASS on November 20.

The length of Lada Aura is 4690 mm, which is 250 mm more than the sedan Lada Vesta, on the basis of which the novelty is built. The price of the car is 2.6 million or 2.8 million rubles, depending on the configuration. In total, AvtoVAZ plans to produce about 5 thousand copies of Aura annually. Lada Aura is equipped with an atmospheric engine 1.8 Evo with an output of 122 hp (170 Nm) in conjunction with a variator, taken from Eastern partners.

Lada Aura received 17-inch alloy wheels of original design, two-tone body paint and a new shade called "Serenade". The interior is finished in genuine nappa leather, two-tone steering wheel, original decorative moldings, sill plates with the model name and decorative pedal covers. Two interior trim options will be available - black and light gray.

In the list of other innovations: special suspension settings (original shock absorbers are used), improved noise insulation, heated cushion and backrest of the rear seat. Special emphasis is made on the comfort of second row passengers.

November 15, it was reported that the start of production of a new family of cars Lada Iskra is scheduled for spring 2025. Iskra in the model range of the brand will occupy a niche between affordable Granta and more expensive Vesta. The model will be available in sedan, station wagon and Cross body styles.
