Russian military liberated the village of Ilyinka in the DNR


The Russian Armed Forces have liberated the village of Ilyinka in the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR). This was reported by the Russian Defense Ministry on Wednesday, November 20.
"The units of the Center group of troops as a result of active offensive actions have liberated the settlement of Ilyinka," the ministry said in a statement.
The ministry noted that units of the grouping repelled 12 counterattacks and defeated the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in the areas of Druzhba, Shcherbinovka, Dzerzhinsk, Zarya and Sukhaya Balka. The enemy also lost up to 390 fighters, a Kazak armored combat vehicle (ACV) and two vehicles in the battles over the past 24 hours.
Earlier, on November 18, the Russian Defense Ministry reported that the fighters of the subdivision of the troops grouping "Center" liberated the village of Novoalekseevka in the Donetsk People's Republic.
Before that, it became known about the liberation of the settlements of Leninskoye and Makarovka in the DNR. In addition, the Ukrainian energy facilities used to support the enemy's operations, the infrastructure of the military airfield, production workshops and storage sites for drones were hit.
The special operation to defend Donbass, the start of which Russian President Vladimir Putin announced on February 24, 2022, continues. The decision was taken against the backdrop of the worsening situation in the region.
