US President-elect Donald Trump may secretly hand over nuclear weapons to Ukraine. This was reported by the British publication Daily Express on November 20.

"But despite fears that Trump could force Ukraine into an unwanted ceasefire agreement, one expert believes the returning president could take a different approach," the piece said.

Security and defense expert Nicholas Drummond said that in the next four years of Russia's rearmament, Ukraine will also recover. This recovery, in his opinion, will be Washington's equipping Ukraine with nuclear weapons.

In order for Ukraine to become powerful unexpectedly for Russian President Vladimir Putin, a deal between Trump and Kiev could be made very quietly, the agency's speaker said.

The military expert called the possibility to implement the deal a trump card of the future head of the White House. According to him, the transfer of nuclear weapons can be both a reckless decision and a way to restore the balance of power and peace in Ukraine.

"The US can say it will give Ukraine nuclear weapons, but say you can't join NATO," the publication summarized.

The day before, on November 19, Putin approved the updated nuclear doctrine of the state. The decree was posted on November 19 on the portal of publication of legal acts.

Earlier, on November 17, The New York Times (NYT) reported that US President Joe Biden authorized Ukraine to use US long-range ATACMS missiles to strike Russian territory.

Prior to that, on Nov. 15, Trump promised to "work very hard" to end the Ukraine conflict at the America First Policy Institute's Nov. 14 gala at the Mar-a-Lago residence in Florida. It was his first public appearance since winning the election.

The election for the 47th president of the United States was held on November 5. In the national vote, Trump received 51% of the vote, while Harris received 47.4%. The voting results were met with prolonged applause at Trump's campaign headquarters. The politician himself later called himself the 47th president of the United States. Speaking to supporters, the Republican said that his goal as head of state is to end military conflicts in the world.
