US embassy in Kiev closed due to possible air attack

The US embassy in Ukraine has closed due to reports of a possible air attack. About it on Wednesday, November 20, reported the press service of the Department of state consular affairs of the United States.

"The Embassy will be closed and recommends that US citizens be ready to take immediate shelter in the event of an air alert," - stated in the message of the Department in X (former Twitter).

It is noted that the reason for this decision was the message about a potential air attack on November 20.

On the eve it was reported that in the city of Dnipro (until 2016 was called Dnipropetrovsk) explosions. An air alert was declared in Kiev, Chernigov, Sumy, Poltava, Kirovograd and Mykolayiv regions.

Earlier in the day, Ukrainian media reported explosions near the city of Kharkiv. At the same time, explosions were reported near Kiev.

Russian troops in October 2022 began striking military facilities and related energy and communications facilities in Ukraine. As Russian President Vladimir Putin explained, this was a response to the terrorist actions of the Kiev regime.
