The weather forecaster reported the beginning of snow cover formation in the Moscow region

A temporary snow cover has started to form in the Moscow region. According to indicators at weather stations, its height is 1-2 cm. This was reported on November 20 by the leading specialist of the weather center "Phobos" Evgeny Tishkovets.

"At the weather stations of Moscow State University, in Mikhailovsky, Podmoskovaya, Naro-Fominsk, Klin - 1 cm, in Volokolamsk - 2 cm," - said the forecaster in his Telegram-channel.

He added that the snow cover began to form in other regions of Central Russia. Thus, in the area of the Central Forest Reserve in the Tver region its height amounted to 5 cm, in the Pskov region - 4 cm, in the Smolensk region - 3 cm.

According to the specialist's forecast, November 20 in Moscow is expected short-term snow, changing into rain. During the day, the air will warm up to +5.

"On the ground will briefly appear half a centimeter of symbolic temporary snow cover, which in the evening and will melt," - said Tishkovets.

Earlier on November 20, the Hydrometeorological Center reported that on Wednesday residents of the capital region expect small, in some places moderate precipitation and wind gusts. The air temperature in Moscow during the day will vary from +1 to +3 degrees. At night, the thermometer will rise to +5. In the Moscow region during the day forecasters promise from 0 to +5 degrees, at night the temperature will remain at +5.

Before that, on November 18, an expert of the information agency "Meteonovosti" Tatyana Pozdnyakova told "Izvestia" that after November 23 in Moscow will begin to establish a snow cover. She warned that the nature of the weather will change, increasingly acquiring features of winter.
