Items from the collection of Nicholas Roerich presented at the Hermitage Museum in St. Petersburg

The exhibition "Flaming Tightness" in the Main Staff of the State Hermitage Museum in St. Petersburg presents items from the collection of artist Nikolai Roerich. The exposition is dedicated to the 150th anniversary of the author. This was reported on November 20 by the museum's press service.

Guests and residents of St. Petersburg will be able to visit the exhibition from November 20 to March 2.

The event will present works from the earliest to the latest. So, for example, the apartment "Gonets. "Vossta kin na kin", "Naturshchik" and "Rest of the hunter". Visitors will also see items of decorative and applied art, monuments of writing, books, documents, photographs and things related to the life and work of the artist.

"The Hermitage collection reveals Roerich also as a collector of Western European painting, represented to a greater extent by works of Dutch and Italian masters of the XV-XVII centuries," - quotes the message of the press service of the Hermitage "Interfax".

Earlier it became known that the Tretyakov Gallery on November 21 will present a new exhibition in pavilion 1 "Central" at VDNH in Moscow. The exhibits are related to the history and time of construction of the pavilion "Central", the names of artists who worked at VDNKh in the 1950s. In particular, it will show works by Soviet masters and contemporary artists.
