Zelensky says Ukraine's impending defeat without U.S. help

The termination of military support from the United States will inevitably end in Ukraine's defeat. This was stated by the country's president Volodymyr Zelenskyy (whose term in office ended on May 20) on November 20, admitting that the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) is now going through a very difficult period.
"If the aid stops, I think we will lose. <...> The most important thing: cohesion between the United States and Ukraine," he said in an interview with Fox News.
In addition, the Ukrainian leader recognized as dangerous the fact that now there is no unity on the Ukrainian issue among European countries as well.
He also expressed the opinion that Donald Trump, the next US president-elect, could end the current conflict, as this issue "depends more on the United States" than on Russia. Washington, in turn, has a lot of influence and manages "very big money."
Earlier, on November 19, Politico reported that the participants of the G20 summit in Brazil are trying not to mention the name of Trump, the next US president-elect, in public. It was noted that his "presence was felt by everyone even behind the scenes." The publication noted that Trump is already signaling that he will play hardball on the international stage, promoting American interests.
On the same day, the Financial Times pointed out that the G20 countries made it clear in a declaration following the Rio de Janeiro summit that their support for Ukraine was declining. According to the newspaper, some European delegations wanted to include in the text a paragraph condemning Russia, but refused this demand for fear of disrupting the adoption of the document.
Before that, on November 14, Trump promised to "work very hard" to end the Ukrainian conflict. Russian Foreign Minister Lavrov said that Russia would wait for proposals to this effect and was ready to consider them.
The election of the 47th president of the United States took place on November 5. In the national vote, Trump received 50.0% of the vote, while Democratic candidate Kamala Harris received 48.3%. Speaking to supporters, the Republican said that his goal as head of state considers the end of military conflicts in the world.
