Pantsir-S anti-aircraft missile and cannon systems are on round-the-clock duty and monitor the airspace above the positions of the Russian Armed Forces (AF) in the border areas of the Kursk Region. This was reported by the Russian Defense Ministry on Wednesday, November 20, showing footage of the combat equipment.
It is noted that the complex is equipped with 12 anti-aircraft missiles and two 30-millimeter cannons with an ammunition package of 1,400 rounds, ensuring the defeat of air targets. The system is quickly deployed and can go into combat mode in 10 seconds.
On the eve it was reported that in Kursk region Mi-28NM, Ka-52M helicopters escorted by Mi-8PSG of the Russian Armed Forces launched a missile strike on armored vehicles and personnel of Ukrainian militants.
Ukrainian militants attacked Russian positions in the border areas of Kursk Region on August 6. The situation in the region was recognized as a state of emergency of federal character. An operation to destroy the AFU is underway.
