- Turkey predicts worsening of Kiev's position due to authorization for ATACMS strikes on Russian Federation

The situation for Kiev will only become more complicated due to US President Joe Biden 's authorization for strikes by US long-range ATACMS missiles on Russian territory. Such a forecast was made by the Turkish newspaper Yeni Şafak on November 19.
According to the author, this will happen if the "dynastic U.S. war machine" by the hands of Biden realizes the planned "dangerous ride" and does not back down from escalation.
The outgoing US president is trying in this way to prevent his successor Donald Trump from settling the Ukrainian conflict, the author believes.
Another reason for what is happening, he called the reaction of the so-called deep state in Washington to Trump's plans to confront the shadow elites of the United States, "Gazeta.Ru" pointed out.
Earlier in the day, two Ukrainian media outlets made a claim that the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) had allegedly struck Russia's territory inside its internationally recognized borders with ATACMS missiles. In his turn, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy (whose term in office expired on May 20) declared his intention to use ATACMS in combat operations.
On November 17, The New York Times reported that Biden had allegedly authorized Ukraine to use US long-range missiles to strike Russia. At the same time, the White House did not confirm this fact.
Presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov emphasized that such authorization to Kiev would be a qualitatively new round of tension and Moscow's position is clear to everyone. Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova warned that the possible use of long-range missiles for such purposes would receive an "adequate and tangible" response.
Western countries have stepped up military and financial support for Ukraine amid Russia's special operation to protect Donbass, which began on February 24, 2022. The decision to conduct it was taken by the Russian president because of the aggravation of the situation in the region due to the increased shelling by Ukrainian troops.
