Six unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) have been destroyed over the territory of Samara Region. This was announced by the head of the region Vyacheslav Fedorishchev on November 20.
"This morning in the Samara region an attack of the Kiev regime was suppressed. Over the territory of the region destroyed six UAVs," he wrote in his Telegram-channel.
According to him, there are no casualties or damage as a result of the Ukrainian attack.
Fedorishchev also added that the situation is under control.
Earlier in the day, the Russian Defense Ministry said that air defense forces shot down 42 UAVs over the territories of six Russian regions. Thus, 32 Ukrainian UAVs were destroyed over the territory of the Bryansk region, five over the territory of the Smolensk region, two over the territory of the Moscow region, and one drone was shot down each over the territories of the Kursk, Orel and Rostov regions.
The armed forces of Ukraine are trying to strike Russian territories against the background of the special operation in Donbass, the start of which was announced on February 24, 2022. The decision was taken due to the aggravation of the situation in the region due to shelling by the Ukrainian military.
