The State Duma reminded about the unreduced working day on December 28

This year the working December 28, Saturday, will not be reduced. This was reported to "RIA Novosti" on November 20 by the head of the State Duma Committee on Labor Yaroslav Nilov (LDPR).

"December twenty-eighth is an unreduced working day," he said and added that on this day Russians will work off Monday, December 30, in accordance with the transfer of days off in 2024.

At the same time, the deputy urged employers to be sympathetic and give employees more opportunity to rest.

Earlier, November 13, Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Family Protection, Paternity, Maternity and Childhood Vitaly Milonov assessed the initiative to cancel the working Saturday on December 28. In his opinion, people before the New Year will be able to spend more time with their families thanks to the non-working Saturday on December 28.

Also on this day, Duma deputy Stanislav Naumov appealed to Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Grigorenko with a proposal to allow regional authorities at their discretion to establish December 28, 2024 as a day off.

Before the New Year, Russians will have a six-day working week from December 23 to 28. The New Year vacations will last from December 29 to January 8.
