FSB detains German citizen preparing a terrorist attack in Kaliningrad

FSB officers on the border with Poland have detained a German citizen working with the Ukrainian Defense Ministry's GUR who was planning a terrorist attack on energy facilities in Kaliningrad. Images of the detention are at the disposal of "Izvestiya" on November 20.
During the search of the man's car was found a bottle of liquid, which, as it later turned out, turned out to be an explosive substance. In addition, the car contained documents in the name of Nikol Haiduk and money.
The detainee himself could not answer questions about the substance in the bottle and repeated that he did not know how it had ended up in his car. Presumably, the contents were supposed to be part of an explosive mechanism that would be used to undermine energy facilities in Kaliningrad. At the same time, the Polish security forces did not notice anything suspicious when the man was leaving the country.
It is specified that it is not the first time that the detainee tried to enter the territory of the Kaliningrad region from Poland for the purpose of sabotage of energy facilities, and he has been cooperating with Ukrainian intelligence for almost a year.
Earlier, on November 13, the FSB prevented a terrorist attack at an electric substation in Nizhny Tagil. The law enforcement authorities found items for the manufacture of incendiary devices and correspondence with the Ukrainian intelligence services in the messenger Telegram.A criminal case under part 3 of article 30, paragraph "a" of part 2 of article 205 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Terrorist act") was initiated on the fact of the incident. The suspect was taken into custody, he confessed.
