Brazilian TV host Ana Maria Braga called US President Joe Biden bin Laden while commenting on an event at the Group of Twenty (G20) summit in Rio de Janeiro.

"President Lula and First Lady Janya welcomed the heads of state and had a series of protocol photos with French President Emmanuel Macron and an affectionate handshake with Bin Laden of the United States," the journalist quipped on air.

The anchorwoman was corrected by a colleague and Braga laughed, referring to the early airtime.

Earlier, on November 18, Joe Biden himself did not walk the red carpet at the G20 summit, as other leaders did, but chose his own way. The US President, stepping out of his car, instead of walking past the honor guard, turned aside along with the protocol accompanying him.

The G20 summit (G20) is taking place November 18-19 in the Brazilian capital and is dedicated to "building a just world and a sustainable planet."
