The State Duma proposed to reduce the period of real estate ownership for sale without personal income tax

State Duma deputies introduce a bill, thanks to which the period of ownership of real estate, after which it is possible not to pay personal income tax on income from its sale, will be reduced from five to three years.

"It is proposed to establish a general minimum limit term of ownership of real estate object three years," - cite "RIA Novosti" the text of the explanatory note to the bill.

It is specified that if the residential property was received by a person from an individual as a result of a gift, with the conclusion of the relevant agreement, or inheritance, the term will be reduced to one year.

At the moment, the minimum limit of ownership is five years. In exceptional cases, it may be reduced to three years. At the same time, the Russian should not be in possession of other residential premises at the time of state registration of the transfer of ownership of the sold object.

Earlier, on November 19, "Izvestia" learned that deputies of the faction "Just Russia - For Truth" headed by Sergei Mironov will submit a bill to the State Duma, which will propose to reduce VAT on socially important goods.
