Russian air defense forces have eliminated unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) over the territory of Novgorod Region. This was reported by the governor of the region Andrei Nikitin on November 20.

"Over the Novgorod region, the air defense forces of the Russian Defense Ministry have detected and destroyed several UAVs," he wrote in his Telegram channel.

Nikitin also noted that there were no casualties.

Earlier in the day, the Russian Defense Ministry said that air defense forces destroyed 42 Ukrainian UAVs over Russian regions. The drones were shot down over the territories of Bryansk, Smolensk, Moscow, Kursk, Orel and Rostov regions from 21:00 to 23:55 Moscow time on November 19.
