71 caviar producers legalized in Russia

In Russia, 71 caviar producers have been legalized. This was told to Izvestia by the press service of the CRPT (the operator of the state labeling system "Honest Mark").

"Caviar labeling started in April this year, and we can already see noticeable success in whitewashing the industry. Initially it was believed that there were 861 producers officially on the market. Over the past seven months of the system's work, 71 more producers have come out of the "shadow"," Revaz Yusupov, deputy general director of CRPT, told Izvestia.

According to him, as a result, "Honest Mark" managed to legalize more than 8% of market participants, who previously did not inform the state about their activities.

"Now they are guaranteed to offer buyers safe and tested products. Thus, almost 10 thousand tons of labeled caviar have already been sold," Revaz Yusupov said
