A civilian was injured in the shelling of the town of Shebekino in Belgorod Region by the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU). This was reported by the governor of the region Vyacheslav Gladkov on November 20.

"The town of Shebekino was shelled by the AFU. One civilian was wounded," he wrote in his Telegram-channel.

According to him, a man with a facial wound was given the necessary assistance by ambulance staff. At the same time, the victim refused hospitalization.

As a result of the Ukrainian shelling, windows were broken out in two private houses. Also, residents of three streets of the city were left without light due to damage to the power line.

Gladkov noted that information on the consequences of the shelling is being clarified. Operational and emergency services will begin to eliminate the consequences in the daylight hours.

Earlier, on November 18, Gladkov said that as a result of a drone attack on a passenger bus on a section of the Nikolskoye-Yasnye highway in the Belgorod region, the driver was injured. He added that another strike on a moving car occurred in the village of Baitsury - the vehicle was damaged there. Information about the consequences is being clarified.

The AFU is trying to strike Russian territories against the background of the special operation in Donbass, the beginning of which was announced on February 24, 2022. The decision was taken due to the aggravation of the situation in the region due to shelling by the Ukrainian military.
