The orbit of the International Space Station (ISS) was adjusted by the Progress MS-28 spacecraft due to the threat of collision with space debris. This was reported in Roscosmos on November 19.

"According to the data of the ballistic and navigation support service of the Flight Control Center of the Central Research Institute of Spacecraft, at 23:09 Moscow time, the engines of the Progress MS-28 freighter were switched on, which worked for 330.90 seconds and produced a momentum of 0.5 m/s, which allowed to increase the ISS orbit by about 800 m", - stated in the message.

In "Roscosmos" also indicated that after the change of orbit, the period of the station's circulation is 92.86 minutes.

Earlier, on October 4, in "Roscosmos" reported that the cargo ship "Progress MS-28" corrected the ISS orbit. Engines of the cargo ship turned on at 11:44, after which, having worked for 1207.62 seconds, issued a pulse of 1.66 m / s. As a result, the average altitude of the station's orbit rose by 2.9 km and amounted to 419 km.
