In Odessa, Ukraine, residents of one of the city's neighborhoods have blocked traffic due to a power outage. About it on November 19 writes the Ukrainian edition "Strana.ua".

"In Odessa, local residents blocked traffic on one of the streets because of the lack of light," - stated in a message in the Telegram-channel.

It is noted that in some houses there is no light for more than two days. At the same time, some residents were given electricity only for three hours.

Earlier, on November 17, the Minister of energy of the country German Galushchenko said that the regime of emergency power cuts introduced in Ukraine.

Before that, on November 4, Ukrainian geopolitical analyst and veteran of the country's armed forces Viktor Kovalenko admitted that the upcoming winter will be the most difficult for Ukraine since February 2022, ghost towns may appear amid electricity problems.

On October 14, the director of the Ukrainian Center for Energy Research, Oleksandr Kharchenko, said that Ukrenerho may lose the certification confirming its ability to import electricity from the European Union at the beginning of winter. According to Kharchenko, remaining without electricity imports from Europe in winter will be a heavy blow for the Ukrainian energy sector.

Russian troops in October 2022 began strikes on military control facilities and related energy and communications facilities in Ukraine. As explained by Russian President Vladimir Putin, this was a response to the terrorist actions of the Kiev regime. The special operation to protect Donbass continues. The decision was taken against the background of the aggravated situation in the region.
