Next year, Chinese automaker JAC plans to introduce an SUV, a minivan and a budget crossover, as well as new versions of existing models. Production of four models is planned to be set up in Russia, a representative of the Russian office of the company told Izvestia correspondent on November 20 at a presentation in honor of JAC's 60th anniversary.

In the first quarter of 2025, JAC will start selling a diesel version of the T9 pickup truck. In the second quarter is scheduled to launch an updated crossover JS6 c turbo engine 1.5 and six- or seven-speed "robot". In the second half of the year it is planned to present a budget crossover JS2 Pro. This car with a length of 4140 mm with a 1.5 engine with an output of 103 hp will be offered with both variator and "manual".

The T9 pickup with a manual and RF8 minivan are scheduled for launch in the third quarter. The latter will be offered with a two-liter engine (224 hp) and automatic. In the fourth quarter, JAC plans to bring to the Russian market an SUV JS9 based on the popular pickup T9. The large (5.2 m) frame car will be equipped with a two-liter gasoline engine (224 hp) and automatic transmission.

In addition, JAC plans to sell in Russia an E30X electric car with a retro design and a range of 500 km, but has not yet made a final decision.

The company will localize its models in Russia. Thus, together with the Russian company "Sollers" will be organized production of a minivan, pickup truck and SUV. Moreover, these models will be sold both under the Sollers brand and under the JAC brand, and will differ by a set of options, said the sales director of the Russian office of JAC Motors Sergey Sadovenko. For example, under the JAC brand they plan to sell the top version of a minivan and a pickup truck with a manual transmission.

The JS2 Pro crossover should also get a Russian registration - at the moment negotiations with two car plants in our country are underway, said Deputy General Director of the Russian office of JAC Victor Nashchansky. This model will be sold only under the JAC brand.

Earlier, the agency "Avtostat-info" reported that in September 2024 in Russia were sold 2,749 new pickup trucks, which is 58% more than a year earlier. Over the three quarters of this year, sales totaled 20,500 units, showing a 68% growth, it reported on October 15.
