Russian air defense forces have destroyed 11 drones of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) over the territory of the Bryansk Region. This was reported by the governor of the region Alexander Bogomaz on November 19.

"The air defense forces of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation have detected and destroyed seven unmanned aerial vehicles of aircraft type," the head of the region wrote in his Telegram channel.

He soon reported that four more AFU drones had been shot down. He added that there were no casualties or damage, and the operational services were working on the spot. Bogomaz thanked the air defense fighters for their work.

The Russian Defense Ministry confirmed the destruction of 11 drones and specified that they were shot down between 18:00 and 19:00 Moscow time.

Earlier in the day, the Russian Defense Ministry said that three Ukrainian drones were shot down over the Belgorod region between 16:00 and 17:30.

On the same day, the Defense Ministry said that Russian air defense forces had detected and destroyed 12 Ukrainian Armed Forces (AFU) airplane-type drones over the territory of the Bryansk Region and another one over the Belgorod Region.

The AFU is trying to strike Russian territories against the backdrop of the special operation in Donbass, the start of which was announced on February 24, 2022. The decision was taken due to the aggravation of the situation in the region due to shelling by the Ukrainian military.
