Lada cars are being prepared to enter the UAE and Iranian markets


Lada cars will soon go on sale in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), next year they may appear on the Iranian market. This was told by AvtoVAZ President Maxim Sokolov on November 19 on the sidelines of the forum-exhibition "Transport of Russia".
"In the UAE sales have not started yet, but preparations are already underway. There are two distributors there: one sells to neighboring countries, Africa, and the other will sell directly in Dubai," TASS quoted Sokolov as saying.
In Iran, AvtoVAZ expects to start selling Lada cars in 2025. According to the top manager, the first shipments of cars to the local partner to pass the necessary certification have already taken place a few months ago in order for the cars to pass certification.
On November 1, it was reported that the first showroom with Lada cars appeared in Dushanbe. The opening was held with the participation of the management of AvtoVAZ and employees of the trade mission of the Russian Federation in Tajikistan.
In June, the head of AvtoVAZ Maxim Sokolov said that the company expects to increase exports of cars to 100 thousand units by 2030. According to him, the cars will be sent to different countries of the Asian, African and Latin American continents. In 1979, the volume of exports amounted to about 300 thousand cars.
