A pine tree for the holidays will cost the residents of Transbaikalia 30 rubles

Residents of the Trans-Baikal Territory will be able to independently procure a pine tree to decorate their homes for the New Year holidays. The cost of a tree up to 3 m high will be 28 rubles 90 kopecks, reported on the official portal of the region on Tuesday, November 19.
The conditions apply only to individuals who will independently go to the forest for cutting. To legally harvest a holiday pine tree, it is necessary to apply to the local forestry office and conclude a purchase and sale agreement. A copy of the passport and TIN will be required.
Unauthorized cutting of a tree threatens a fine from 3 thousand to 4 thousand rubles for citizens. Officials will have to pay from 20 thousand to 40 thousand rubles, legal entities - from 200 thousand to 300 thousand rubles.
According to IA ChitaMedia, if the damage from illegal felling does not exceed 5 thousand rubles, administrative punishment is applied. However, felling of several or rare species of trees can face imprisonment for up to two years.
Earlier in November it was reported that 34 Christmas trees decorated in the style of the districts of the Trans-Baikal Territory will be installed on Theater Square in Chita. The exhibition will open on December 15 and will be the official start of the New Year holidays.
