Jaecoo J5 crossover will appear in Russia in early 2025

The new crossover Jaecoo J5, the most compact model in the brand's lineup, will appear on the Russian market in early 2025. This was reported by Rossiyskaya Gazeta on November 19.

In the Russian market, front-wheel drive Jaecoo J5 will be offered with a 1.5-liter engine and a variator, and all-wheel drive - with a 1.6-liter unit in conjunction with a robotic seven-speed transmission. According to the publication, in the future the crossover will receive hybrid and electric versions, but the issue with their appearance in Russia has not yet been resolved.

The length of the car is 4380 mm with a wheelbase of 2610 mm. The list of options of the model will include a multimedia system with a 13.2-inch screen, dual-zone climate control, heated front seats, steering wheel and windshield, as well as a camera system of circular vision with a transparent chassis function.

Now the Jaecoo brand is represented in the Russian Federation by the J7 crossovers priced from 2.89 million rubles and the J8 priced from 4.5 million rubles. It is expected that the starting price of the J5 will be about 2.5 million rubles.

Earlier in the day it was reported that the premiere of the updated Bestune B70 liftback in Russia will take place in December 2024. In the Russian market, the model will be available in three configurations and with two powertrains, the price of the car has not yet been disclosed.
