Dollar exchange rate exceeded 100 rubles for the first time since October 2023

The official dollar exchange rate has exceeded Br100 for the first time since October 10, 2023. This follows from the data of the Bank of Russia on November 19.

It is specified that the dollar rate against the ruble increased by 9.18 kopecks, amounting to Br100.0348.

At the same time, the official rate of the yuan amounted to Br13.77 - an increase of 1.47 kopeck, while the euro - Br105.73 (plus 27.32 kopeck).

Earlier on Tuesday, Spartak Sobolev, head of the investment strategy research department of Alfa-Forex, suggested in a conversation with Izvestia that this week the dollar may rise to 102 rubles, the euro - to 107 rubles, the yuan - to 14 rubles. According to him, the pressure on the ruble is exerted by the aggravation of geopolitical factors, as well as the strong position of the dollar in the world after the election of the new US president.
