Unemployment rate in Moscow reached a historic low of 0.9%

Moscow has reached a historical minimum unemployment rate against the background of staff shortage - 0.9%. This was reported by the deputy head of the Department of Labor and Social Protection of the capital Alexandra Alexandrova during the HR-forum RBC.
"Unemployment is now at a historically low level. And it does not matter whether we measure it by registered unemployment or we measure it by international standards, according to the estimates of the International Labor Organization - 0.9% unemployment rate," RBC quotes her words.
Alexandrova pointed out that job seekers came "in a flood during the year." As of today, there are almost no people who come for the status of unemployed with benefits, she noted.
"No one wants unemployed status anymore. In fact, there is not a single person whom we cannot find a job in the city," concluded the deputy head of the department.
Earlier, on October 29, Russian President Vladimir Putin said at a meeting of the Federation of Independent Trade Unions of the Russian Federation that the unemployment rate in the country is falling lower and lower, with each quarter updating the historical minimum on this indicator. This was due to the government policy of recent years, the efforts of the business community and trade unions, he pointed out.
