The logo of the 80th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War was presented

The "Victory Museum" on Poklonnaya Hill in Moscow presented the official logo of the celebration of the 80th anniversary of the victory in the Great Patriotic War, according to the Kremlin's Telegram channel on November 19.

Its central composition was Yevgeny Vuchetich's sculpture "Motherland Calls!", which is a recognizable symbol of the monument-ensemble "To the Heroes of the Battle of Stalingrad" on the Mamaev Kurgan in Volgograd.

The logo was presented by Vladimir Mashkov, People's Artist of the Russian Federation and Executive Director of the All-Russian Public Movement "Victory Volunteers". He noted that the image of Mother Mother calling her sons and daughters to fight the enemy is familiar to all Russians since childhood.

"The monument has become a symbol of the indestructibility of the spirit of our people. And this image certainly unites us. It unites different people. But everyone will find something different in it. His pride, his memory. And it is this image that has become the logo of the 80th anniversary of our Victory," Mashkov said.

Minister of Culture Olga Lyubimova, who was present at the presentation, added that this meeting gave a start to the jubilee events of the 80th anniversary of Victory, the plan of which already includes more than 170 events and will be supplemented.

Russian President Vladimir Putin in September 2023 called to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War brightly, solemnly and with deep content. According to him, the main task is to fill all events with deep content.

In 2025, May 9 marks 80 years since the victory in the Great Patriotic War. In January 1945, the USSR army launched an offensive against Berlin. As a result of military operations at 00:43 Moscow time on May 9, the commanders-in-chief signed an act of unconditional surrender of Germany, which served as the end of the Great Patriotic War.
