Kursk bids farewell to Narodnaya Gazeta editor-in-chief killed in drone strike

A farewell to the editor-in-chief of the Narodnaya Gazeta newspaper, Yuliya Kuznetsova, who died as a result of a Ukrainian drone attack, was held in the church of St. John the Theologian in Kursk. This was reported by VGTRK "Kursk" on November 19.
Dozens of residents of the region came to the ceremony of farewell to the deceased. They laid flowers at the coffin of Kuznetsova.
About the death of Kuznetsova became known on November 17. The tragedy occurred in Bolshesoldatsky district of Kursk region. The Investigative Committee (IC) of the Russian Federation opened a criminal case of terrorist attack after the attack of a Ukrainian drone on the car of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation in the Kursk region. It was specified that two people were also injured. The car was carrying archival files of the editorial office.
On November 18, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said that Kuznetsova's murder by Ukrainian Armed Forces (AFU) fighters was further evidence of the criminal nature of the regime of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky (whose term of office expired on May 20).
She added that Western curators are covering up for the Nazi clique in Kiev, which is committing brutal massacres against Russian journalists, while international organizations and human rights structures are deliberately silent about it.
Ukrainian militants have repeatedly attacked representatives of the media. For example, on June 16, News.ru correspondent Nikita Tsitsagi was killed in a drone attack by the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the Donetsk People's Republic.
In August, VGTRK military correspondent Yevgeny Poddubny was wounded in the Kursk region. That day he was covering the situation in the region. The military correspondent was traveling in a car that came under attack by an AFU drone.
