Russia has been conducting a special military operation to protect civilians in Donbas since February 24, 2022. The Defense Ministry said that units of the Center group of troops liberated the village of Novoselidovka in the DNR.

Six counterattacks by enemy assault groups were also repulsed. The Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) lost more than 310 military personnel, two armored combat vehicles, three vehicles, a 152-millimeter D-20 gun, a 122-millimeter D-30 howitzer and a 100-millimeter Rapira anti-tank gun in this direction.

The ministry added that units of the "North" group of forces in the Kharkiv direction defeated formations of the 57th motorized infantry brigade of the AFU, the 13th brigade of the National Guard and the 5th border detachment of the Ukrainian Border Service in three districts of Kharkiv region.

In addition, the Russian army hit the infrastructure of military airfields, energy facilities, which supported the activities of Ukraine's military-industrial complex.

In total, since the beginning of the special military operation, 648 aircraft, 283 helicopters, 36,259 unmanned aerial vehicles, 586 anti-aircraft missile systems, 19,386 tanks and other armored combat vehicles, 1,490 multiple rocket launchers, 18,181 field artillery and mortars, 28,525 units of special military vehicles have been destroyed.
