The Russian army liberated the village of Novoselidovka in the DNR

Troops of the Center group have taken control of the village of Novoselidovka in the Donetsk people's republic. This was reported by the Russian Defense Ministry on November 19.

"The units of the grouping of troops "Center" as a result of active offensive actions liberated the settlement of Novoselidovka of the Donetsk People's Republic," - stated in the message.

In the area of responsibility of the unit the Armed Forces of Ukraine lost more than 310 servicemen, two armored combat vehicles, three vehicles, 152-mm gun D-20, 122-mm howitzer D-30 and 100-mm anti-tank gun "Rapira".

In addition, the infrastructure of military airfields, energy facilities that support the activities of the AFU, as well as concentrations of enemy personnel and military equipment in 146 areas were hit. Air defenses shot down five ballistic missiles, four French-made Hammer guided bombs, a US-made HIMARS multiple rocket launcher, and 85 aircraft-type drones.

A day earlier, the agency reported the liberation of the village of Novoalekseevka by the unit's fighters. The enemy lost more than 500 servicemen in the fighting. The Defense Ministry also published footage of combat work of the Russian Armed Forces during the liberation of the settlement.

Before that, on November 17, the Defense Ministry reported the liberation of the settlements of Leninskoye and Makarovka in the DNR. In addition, Ukrainian energy facilities used to support the enemy's operations, the infrastructure of the military airfield, production workshops and drone storage sites were hit.

The special operation to defend Donbass, the start of which Russian President Vladimir Putin announced on February 24, 2022, continues. The decision was made against the backdrop of the worsening situation in the region.
