In Ivanteevka near Moscow, a woman gave birth to her daughter in the toilet and left her there. This was reported on November 19 by the source of "Izvestiya".

As it became known, the incident occurred in the morning of October 20.

"A 37-year-old woman gave birth to a newborn viable child in the toilet bowl and cut the umbilical cord on her own. After that, the mother left the baby in the toilet bowl and went to another room, where she began to wait for an ambulance," - said the source.

According to the Izvestiya interlocutor, the mother concealed the fact of childbirth from the arriving medics, telling them that she was pregnant and bleeding. However, the medical workers found the corpse of the newborn in the toilet.

A criminal case was opened against the woman under the article on the murder of a newborn child by its mother (Article 106 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation). She faces up to four years of imprisonment. It is noteworthy that she is already raising one child.

According to the source, the resident of Ivanteevka was previously convicted for drugs and was registered in a narcology clinic.

In October, an 18-year-old Russian woman gave birth in a toilet at Antalya airport and left the baby to die in the toilet. The baby's life was saved by the fact that she was found 12 minutes after the incident. A criminal case has been opened against the Russian citizen. She will be tried in Turkey.
