The court sentenced in absentia ex-Moscow mayor Bryukhanova to eight years in prison

Khoroshevsky district court of Moscow sentenced in absentia former Moscow municipal deputy Anastasia Bryukhanova to eight years of general regime colony. This was reported on November 19 by a correspondent of "Izvestia" from the courtroom.

It is specified that Brukhanova is charged under item "e" part 2 of article 207.3 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Public dissemination of deliberately false information about the use of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, on the grounds of political, ideological, racial, national or religious hatred or enmity or on the grounds of hatred or enmity against any social group").

Also, the court banned the ex-mundee of Moscow for four years to engage in the development and promotion of websites.

Earlier, on June 15, Bryukhanova was declared wanted under a criminal article. Later, on August 31, the court imposed an administrative fine of 10 thousand rubles on Brukhanova for participation in the activities of a foreign organization undesirable on the territory of the Russian Federation.

Brukhanova became a defendant in a criminal case on discrediting the Russian Army in April 2023 because of a video on her YouTube channel.
