Analysts have named the cost of preparing a car for winter

Spending of Russians to prepare the car for the winter season in early November compared to last year increased by 16% and amounted to an average of 17.8 thousand rubles. This is reported on November 19 by "RIA Novosti" with reference to analysts of the resource "Check Index" of the company "Platform OFD".

Thus, for Br17.8 thousand you can buy a battery, a set of wiper blades and non-freezing fluid, as well as use the services of tire fitting and car service for seasonal maintenance.

The average check for the purchase of windshield wiper blades was 15% higher than last year's level, reaching 1109 rubles. It increased by 13% (Br306) for non-freezing liquid, while the battery - by 10% (up to Br6405). Average checks for tire fitting services (by 17%; Br2,670) and car service (by 19%; Br7,358) have also increased.

One of the reasons for the increase in the average cost of purchases in preparation of cars for winter occurred against the background of a more active renewal of the car fleet in the country and the increase in the secondary market, experts believe.

On November 13, Nikita Rodionov, technical director of a network of car services, in a conversation with Izvestia, dispelled myths about the operation of vehicles in winter. Prolonged warming up of the car increases engine wear, he warned.
