- Peskov said the military was tracking information about authorization of strikes deep inside Russian Federation

The Russian military is monitoring the situation regarding Ukraine 's authorization to use long-range missiles to launch strikes deep inside Russian Federation. Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said this on Tuesday, November 19.
"Our military and relevant services are monitoring the situation as closely as possible in connection with this information that has appeared," he said at a briefing.
The Russian presidential spokesman said that one should not be guided by the reports of separate media outlets, noting that Moscow is closely monitoring the situation. He recalled that the aggression of any non-nuclear state with the support of a nuclear one toward Russia is considered as their joint attack.
According to Peskov, the special military operation will continue until Russia achieves all its goals. The Ukrainian conflict is taking place amid a war against Russia unleashed by the collective West, but this will not affect its outcome.
On November 17, The New York Times reported that current U.S. President Joe Biden allegedly authorized Ukraine to use U.S. long-range missiles to strike Russia. The Le Figaro newspaper said at the same time that the French and British authorities had made a similar decision, but then removed this information from the article.
The head of the European Union diplomatic service Josep Borrell said on November 18 that the U.S. administration had lifted restrictions on strikes with U.S. missiles at a distance of up to 300 kilometers deep into Russian territory. At the same time, Deputy National Security Advisor to the US President John Feiner did not confirm that Washington had given such authorization to Kiev. The official emphasized that the White House bases its decisions on the situation on the battlefield.
Peskov, commenting on the possible authorization for Ukraine to use ATACMS for strikes on Russian territory, pointed out that such a move by the USA would be a qualitatively new round of tension, and Moscow 's position on this issue is clear to everyone.
Western countries have stepped up military and financial support for Ukraine against the backdrop of Russia's special operation to protect Donbass, which began on February 24, 2022. The decision to carry it out was taken by the Russian president because of the aggravation of the situation in the region due to the increased shelling by Ukrainian troops.
