An Israel Defense Forces (IDF) attack on Beirut's Ras al-Nabaa neighborhood killed seven people. The Lebanese National News Agency (NNA) reported on November 18.

"The result of the Israeli raid on the Ras al-Nabaa neighborhood in Beirut resulted in the death of seven people and the wounding of 16 others," the agency said.

It is noted that among the dead there is one woman.

On the eve of the Ministry of Health of Lebanon reported that at least 11 people were killed as a result of Israeli raids on the outskirts of the city of Tyre in the south of the country.

Earlier, on November 15, Lebanon's health ministry reported 59 dead as a result of the Israeli attack. In addition, 182 local residents were wounded.

On November 10, Israeli Defense Minister Yisrael Katz said that the Shiite movement Hezbollah had been defeated and called the elimination of the movement's leader Hassan Nasrallah a major achievement. He said the only thing left for the state to do is to keep up the pressure on the Shiite organization to reap the fruits of its victory over it.

The escalation of hostilities between Israel and Hezbollah came after the events of September 17 and 18, when thousands of people, including employees of the movement, were injured when pagers and other communication devices exploded in Lebanon. The country blamed Tel Aviv for what happened. Since then, Israel has continued to eliminate the leadership of the Shiite movement and strike Lebanese territory.

The situation in the Middle East escalated on the morning of October 7, 2023, when the Palestinian radical movement Hamas subjected the territory of Israel to a massive rocket attack from the Gaza Strip. On the same day, Israel began retaliatory strikes.
